ReplyDelete1) The first article really helped me refresh my memory about the Algerian War of Independence. It helped me gain back the knowledge about the French involvement and the amount of violence that happened between the Algerians and the French. Lastly, it helped me think about how important the FLN was in the war because they were multiple groups formed into one organization.
2) This video being very descriptive and visual,i got to see actual footage of violent scenes and strikes along with the actions of the rebels, Algerians. Military involvement was clearly seen throughout this video, and the audio guided me into what was going on in the video, such as negotiations and political changes.
3)This last article helped me dig out my old information about the use of torture activities we had done in class. The French army and the FLN, using torching strategies, was debated to effective or not. It is important to know about the use of torture because it is part of military tactics in the Algerian War.
