This video is a documentary, which gives a perspective of the people of Spain and the thoughts of other historians. It also talks about the reactions of the Spanish people and how they headed towards a revolution, leading into the terrors of the Spanish Civil War. This was a war between the Republicans and the Nationalist(Franco- the "rebels")

This is an article that speaks in terms of a death of somebody who served in the Spanish Civil War named Bob Peters. He was one of the members that was going against Francisco Franco in March 1937. Towards the end of this article(newspaper) it speaks about the involvement of other countries, which is crucial to know.

The Spanish Civil War was big on propaganda and nationalism. These are just some of the many propaganda pieces that show the nationalism within Spain.

  1. The video helped me understand the different causes of the spanish civil war. The video also helped me understand how war became notable for the passion and political division it inspired, and for the atrocities committed by both sides. Franco's forces caused the future regime.
    The article gave me a really good point of view of victims of the harmful effects of the war. The article states that not many people agreed with the ideologies of Franco and went against him.
    The propaganda was useful for me because it shows a strong belief in nationalism for Spain. It represents very strong ideologies for this who wanted change in Spain.
